AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Technology for renewable energy is continually moving forward and Class 4 Winds and Renewables is keeping up.
Wednesday, Class 4 Winds hosted a one day conference titled "New Horizons: Wind, Solar, Storage and Policy" at the Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo. Representatives from various businesses and even a representative from Congressman Mac Thornberry's office learned what's in store for renewable energy and how it's going to impact our communities.
"It's just so great because the Panhandle really doesn't get hit hard by recessions," said Class 4 Winds Executive Director AJ Swope. "We're kind of the first to feel anything like that because we're such a diversified economy and whenever you add more renewable energy into that, it's just one more diversification that strengthens us well into the future."
