AMARILLO, TEXAS -- At least 500 people in the Texas Panhandle are living with AIDS.

It's a large number but the Panhandle AIDS Support Organization, or PASO, is there to help.

"Currently, we have approximately 500 people within the Texas Panhandle that are living with AIDS," said Michael Timcisko, PASO Executive Director. "We are the Ryan White Care Services Provider for individuals that are HIV positive or have a diagnosis of AIDS in the northern 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle"

PASO's largest fundraiser, called Turnabout, is Saturday evening. The annual event promises to be one of the funnest evenings of the year.

"Turnabout is our incredible annual fundraiser," said Timcisko. "It's our major fundraiser that we have every year. It's an incredibly fun event. People really don't know what to expect if they've never been before, but most of the time, they are definitely back the next year."

Timcisko says PASO hopes to raise $40,000 at the event. The theme of this year's Turnabout is 'Vegas Vixens.'

All the fun begins as doors open at 6:30. The show, which is sure to please, starts at 8:00. It's all at the Sunset Center off Western and Plains.
