Who doesn't love catching a great movie, in town, at your local movie theater?
It's small town jewels like the Wellington Ritz Theatre that make tiny Texas communities not only a great place to live but also a great place to visit. As citizens, it's our job to help keep "hidden gems" like the Ritz alive and thriving. So, if you love the idea of a small town movie theatre that's great for catching the newest Hollywood movies as well as special shows, educational programs and concerts, you'll want to vote for their Ritz in their latest contest.
The Ritz Theatre is competing with charities nationwide for donations ranging anywhere from $25,000 to $250,000! The contest is being hosted by the Chase Community Giving program and you can vote just by liking the Chase Community Giving Facebook page, then searching for Wellington Ritz Theatre to cast your vote! The Chase Community Giving program is designed to benefit smaller and local charities and overall, more than $3 million will be given away to the top vote earners.
"Receiving even $25,000 would be an unbelievable opportunity to ensure the great work of this organization continues in Wellington," said Melanie Baumgardner, President of the Ritz Board. Baumgardner said the Ritz is in great need of those resources and winning any money would not only benefit the theater but also their community.
Voting ends Tuesday, November 22.
