AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Boy Scout Troop 80 is offering Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes at Treeland.

Fortunately, the trees at Treeland, located at Plains and Bellaire, have not suffered from this year's drought.  The Boy Scouts have their trees driven in from Oregon and Washington.

Trees from three feet to 13 feet tall are available for prices ranging from $25 to $200.

"This is our main fundraiser every year to raise our operating budget for the entire year and help the boys go to monthly camps," Troop 80 Committee Chairman Doug Walker said.  "We're going to Yellowstone National Park this summer."

This is the 53rd year the boys have been selling trees and, according to Walker, every year has been a success due to the variety of trees available.

"We have Nordmonn Firs, we have Frasers, Douglas Firs, Nobles, Scotch Pines and we also have Balsams."

Treeland has sold out of trees before, so Walker recommends anyone wanting a tree go within the next week.

"The Boy Scouts do a majority of the work and the men just support that.  And we encourage them- it teaches them salesmanship and working with the community and serving others."
