CARSON COUNTY, TEXAS -- More than $100,000 in cash and marijuana was seized on Interstate 40 during a traffic stop this last weekend.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety, Troopers stopped a 1999 Ford RV and a 2012 Dodge Caravan about 12 miles west of Conway just after midnight Saturday
Troopers said the vehicles were traveling together. During the stop, Troopers reportedly noticed the odor of burnt marijuana coming from both of the vehicles. A probable cause search was conducted and $112,273 was found inside the RV.
Found inside the Dodge was a .45 caliber handgun and 57 grams of marijuana. The marijuana was valued at $162.50.
Karl C. Pearce, 32 of Miami, Fla., Gabrielle K. Tillman, 37 of Tucson, Ariz., and Shanella E. Burgess, 40 of Georgetown, S.C. Were all booked into the Carson County Jail for money laundering and possession of marijuana.
