AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An historic partnership has been formed between three Panhandle community colleges.
With a goal of helping better serve our area students and to see continued growth during budget woes.
Amarillo College, Frank Phillips, and Clarendon College Presidents all signed the agreement Wednesday.
It's goal is to make way for policies to be made to make transferability between the colleges easier, align programs and their offerings, and provide greater overall options for students.
It's also a way for colleges to cope with more students and less funding.
"So what that means is let's make sure we are leveraging our resources to make sure we can continue strong programs and even add new programs that are needed by the business industry up here in the Panhandle," said Dr. Paul Matney, Amarillo College President.
In fact, meetings between the colleges presidents started that afternoon.
