AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A home invasion helped land a man in jail Wednesday evening, Amarillo Police said.
28-year-old Carlos Estrada, Jr., was charged with Aggravated Robbery after police said he forced his way into a home and robbed several people at gunpoint.
Police said Estrada used a black bandana to cover his face, police said. Despite using the bandana, one of the victims identified him by a face tattoo. He was identified as the homeowner's sister's boyfriend.
Officers responded to the home invasion robbery at about 8:25 Wednesday evening in the 1600 block of South Buchanan Street. Police were told that a man and a woman were dressed completely in black. The victims said one of them was armed with a pistol.
Estrada stole a purse belonging to one of the homeowner's guests, police said. Additionally, some change was taken from another guest. The purse was found near 15th and Canyon Drive.
Estrada was found at his apartment and then taken to the Potter County Jail, police said.
