AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Christmas break is right around the corner and while some kids are getting excited, others might be worried about what, or if, they'll have enough food to eat during their break.
That's why the Snack Pack 4 Kids program is taking action and packing a few extra bags for those kids to take with them over the holiday. Tuesday night, more than 160 volunteers packed into the Snack Pack 4 Kids warehouse to pack extra bags for the kids to take home over the holiday break.
"The kids are out almost two and a half weeks where they will not have a free lunch, free breakfast and then miss the meals on the weekends which is what this program is designed to address," said Co-Founder of the Snack Pack 4 Kids Program, Dyron Howell. "So, we made a decision to add an additional bag for Christmas."
