How much are you paying at the pump?
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Gas prices across the state of Texas are continuing to slip, AAA Texas said.
In Amarillo, the average price of unleaded gas dropped by five cents in the last week. According to the gas survey, Amarillo currently has an average gas price of $3.10. Last week, the price was listed at $3.15.
At the same time last year, the average price per gallon was $2.79.
As for the statewide average, AAA Texas said the retail price slipped three cents this week to register at $3.09 per gallon. The nationwide average also dropped three cents to $3.26 per gallon.
AAA Texas said analysts have found that global economic uncertainty and low demand for oil and gas is what's causing the slip in prices.
