CARSON COUNTY, TEXAS -- A California man is dead after an early morning wreck around 5:47 a.m. Sunday morning.
Frank R. Tyler was traveling eastbound on Interstate-40 in a 1994 Mazda pickup when icy conditions caused him to lose control on an overpass.
The vehicle veered south overturning one time before coming to a rest at the bottom of the overpass embankment.
The passenger Harold Edward Tyler of Albertsville, Alabama was pronounced dead on scene, he was not wearing his safety belt.
