CURRY COUNTY, NM -- A 4-year-old is dead after a late Sunday night wreck in Curry County on New Mexico 209 approximately 16 miles north of Clovis.
The crash involved a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer traveling northbound on NM 209.
The driver 33-year-old Chrystal Gonzales lost control of the vehicle when it lost traction on the icy road; the vehicle then left the roadway and rolled.
Life support aid was performed on Gonzales' 4-year-old daughter Mya who had serious injuries; she would later die at Plains Regional Medical Center.
Chrystal and daughter Deja Ellis were both treated for minor injuries.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
