The driver of a Ford Crown Vic going south lost control of it, it slid across the northbound lanes and down an embankment and hit a tree causing it to rollover on the softball fields of St. Luke Presbyterian.
The driver and passenger fled, but officers found them in the surrounding neighborhood.
The driver claims the back fender of his vehicle was hit by a black pickup that has not been located.
The passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and the wreck is still under investigation.
