Officials are now asking for the public's help in locating the next of kim for Garcia. DPS said his last known address was in Guymon, Okla. Any information can be reported to the Dumas HP Office at (806) 935-5908.
DPS also said alcohol is a possible factor in this crash. It remains under investigation.
A 42-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon after police said his SUV swerved into the center median on US 287 near Cactus.
Anselmo Fuentes Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene, four miles north of Cactus at about 4:15 Sunday afternoon.
Texas Department of Public Safety said his 1996 Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. His vehicle swerved into the center median causing it to toll multiple times, DPS said.
The vehicle came to a rest on the northbound shoulder facing southwest. DPS said Garcia was ejected.
