Preliminary autopsy results have been released and officials said Amie Kuykendall received three fatal gunshot wounds.
The case will now be submitted to the 69th District Attorney by the end of the week.
Alan Kuykendall remains in custody in Moore County.
Officials in Moore County are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a woman by her husband.
The Moore County Sheriff's Office said 47-year-old Alan Ray Kuykendall was arrested on a charge of First Degree Murder. An investigation found that he was responsible in the shooting death of his wife, Aimee Kuykendall, on Jan. 14 at around 10:36 p.m.
Aimee's body was transported to South Plains Forensic Center where it is scheduled for an autopsy Tuesday morning.
Alan's bail is set at $1 million.
