BUSHLAND, TEXAS --

Bushland Senior Brandon Grant hosted a flag football tournament for his senior project, which raised $800.

Boys paid $5 to play and spectators paid $2.50 to catch a glimpse of the action.

Grant said the project showed him just how important it is for younger kids to have role models to look up to.

"It teaches you, like, how different kids are," Grant said.  "Junior high and elementary kids are totally different.  Elementary kids are so much fun and energetic and you never know what they're going to come up with.  So, you'll surprise yourself and you'll actually become, I believe, a better person because you get to see everyone and see them mature into great adults."

Two Bushland businesses donated money to the project, and Grant's teacher seemed to be pleased with his work- he aced all parts of the project.
