Pileup in Deaf Smith Co. slows traffic

DEAF SMITH COUNTY, TEXAS -- Update 3:50p
The fire is now 100 percent contained, the Texas Forest Service said.

Hwy. 60 has now been reopened.

The westbound lane of Highway 60 near Hereford is shut down. That's after a pileup, officials said.

According to the Deaf Smith Co. Sheriff's Office, the wreck happened on Highway 60 near the weigh station.

The visibility in the area is low and officials are discouraging travel in the area.
