2 teens killed in Amarillo Blvd. crash

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two 19-year-old women were killed early Sunday morning in a crash off Amarillo Boulevard.

Amarillo Police said Kaylin Pearson and Kerniece Johns, both 19, both died at the scene, in the 2700 block of West Amarillo Boulevard.

Officers responded just after 1:00 a.m, Sunday where a white 2001 Cadillac four-dour vehicle had been traveling southbound. Police said the vehicle turned left in front of a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling eastbound.

The front of the Tahoe struck the passenger side of the Cadillac, police said.

As for the driver and a passenger of the Tahoe, they were not injured.

An autopsy was ordered for both of the women. The crash remains under investigation.
