AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A Borger man was sentenced to 160 months in federal prison on Tuesday for a drug charge stemming from June 2011.
Raphael Garcia, Jr. 36, of Borger pleaded guilty last November to the felony charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña said.
Along with a co-conspirator, Dustin Engler, 25, also of Borger, he made arrangements with a confidential informant to sell meth outside a grocery store in Borger, according to court documents.
The documents also indicate Garcia drove Enger to the store and directed him to place the drugs in a secluded residence. An undercover informant was the arranged purchaser.
Engler also pleaded guilty to the same offense. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 14, a news release said.
