AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A store in Southwest Amarillo was robbed late Tuesday night and police are now looking for the suspects.
Amarillo Police said officers were dispatched to the Family Discount Store in the 1100 block of SW 15th on a robbery at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The clerk told officers that as he was locking the doors, three black males produced an object that was possibly a weapon.
According to police, the suspects ordered the man to open the doors. The suspects then entered the store and demanded money, police said.
The men also took cigarettes and personal property from the clerk, police added.
As for a description of the suspects, one is described as 5'8", slim, about 20 years old wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a black ski mask. One of the other suspects is described as 20 years old, 6'2" tall, slender and dressed in a black jacket, blue jeans and a black ski mask. The final suspect is described as younger and shorter than the first two, about 5'6" tall and not wearing a ski mask. Police said he was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans with very short hair.
At least one of the suspect was armed with a handgun, police said.
The suspects left on foot in an unknown direction.
