There's a new study that's just been released and while the word "scientific" does not even come close to describing the research involved, it does raise an eyebrow or two, especially for smartphone users.
Researchers looked at Canadian subscribers with Match.com singles for their results.
That being said... this could be something to jot down if you want to compare notes and ringtones in the future...and here are the results.
The Office Romantic is probably: An IPhone user.
They are the ones most likely to date within the office. Almost 25 percent of IPhoners have had an office romance in the last 5 years.
They are most likely to wait about a day before making contact after a first date, while Android and BlackBerry users will wait for two to three dates.
IPhone Users are also available most on evening and weekends.
The Seducer is most likely: An Android User (Remember, this is very unscientific)
Users of Androids are most likely to have sex on the first date. According to the study, 62 percent of single Android users say they had sex on date #1. How does that compare to the other two groups studied? BalckBerry users were the lowest at 48 percent while iPhoners are at 57 percent.
Android-ians are most likely to be one night standers at 55 percent and 72 percent of Android fans have visited an online dating site. That's drops to 58 percent for iPhone users and it's a 50-50 split for the BlackBerry users.
The Drunk Dialer: BlackBerry Users
BlackBerry proponents are the most likely to drink alcohol on the 1st date, a gurgling 72 percent will imbibe on the first night out.
That may explain the next statistic- 67 percent say they have experienced love at first sight.
The Final Breakdown-- Android users are most likely to sleep with their date on the first date, BlackBerry users are the biggest users of alcohol on the first date and IPhoners prefer office romances.
