AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police are still investigating an early morning wreck that occured on the east side of town.

The initial call went out about 8:45 a.m. for a car upside down with a trapped female driver on the overpass around 3rd and Mirror.

Police aren't sure if it was speed, icy roads or a combination of both that caused her car to start skidding.

She was southbound and was heading toward a front end loader travelling north. The operator of the loader saw her skidding and lowered his bucket as she approached.

She was removed from the car before being transported to the hospital. No word on her name or condition at this time.
