Clovis man with contagious TB turns himself in

CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - A Clovis man who New Mexico health officials were trying to locate because of a serious medical condition has turned himself in.

The Curry County Sheriff's Office tells The Clovis News Journal 45-year-old Robert J. Gutierrez entered Plains Regional Medical Center Wednesday. The New Mexico Department of Health was granted a temporary order of protection Jan. 27 requiring Gutierrez be isolated at a medical facility. 

Medical officials say Gutierrez was diagnosed with active pulmonary tuberculosis with lung disease.
