AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A 28-year-old man was found guilty Thursday afternoon of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The case stems from an incident that happened in June 2008. The trial was delayed because of a stroke suffered by the defendant's attorney.

Marco Antonio Morales was found guilty after less than an hour of jury deliberations. The punishment phase is scheduled to begin Friday morning.

More than 13 witnesses were called by the prosecution while only one witness was called by the defense, 47th District Attorney Randall Sims said in a news release.
