AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Police are searching for the pair who they say robbed an Amarillo National Bank location Friday afternoon.
The suspects are described as an Hispanic female wearing a pink cap and an Hispanic male about 5'6", 200 pounds, wearing a blue shirt and possibly Dickie brand pants.
Amarillo Police confirmed to Pronews 7 that the pair walked into the bank at the intersection of Interstate 40 and Coulter at about 3:20 p.m. Friday and demanded money.
"A panic alarm went off at 3:23 and officers responded within two minutes," said Amarillo Police Cpl. Jerry Neufeld.
Police said the famale suspect approached the teller and made a comment about them being watched. The male suspect, according to police, then lifted up his shirt to display a weapon. He then demanded money and the teller gave him an undetermined amount, police said.
The pair then took off running. Police said they do not have a vehicle description but there have been reports the pair got in a vehicle.
Police are working with bank officials to use surveillance to further their investigation.
