OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - At least one Oklahoma voter says he left his GOP ballot blank today because he's so discouraged with the field of candidates and tone of the primary campaign.
Retired teacher Herbert Skidmore says he's been a registered Republican for more than 40 years but plans to re-register as an independent. He says he's tired of watching Republicans and Democrats say one thing during the primary to appeal to their base and then switch positions during the general election campaign.
Skidmore describes himself as a fiscal conservative and a social moderate.
Many Oklahoma voters casting ballots on Super Tuesday say improving the economy is the major issue in this year's campaign.
