CONWAY, TEXAS -- A Wichita, Kan., man was booked into the Carson County Jail Monday evening after a Trooper found more than $114,000 in methamphetamine concealed in the pickup he was driving.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) said a Trooper stopped a 2005 Ford F-150 about five miles east of Conway just before 7 p.m. Monday. The pickup's driver, Jesus A. Ibarra-Diaz, 38, of Wichita, was traveling eastbound.

Consent to search the vehicle was granted, DPS said. The search, according to authorities, revealed 1,362 grams of meth inside a compartment built into the pickup frame rail. The meth is valued at $114,067.

Ibarra-Diaz was booked into the Carson County Jail for possession of a controlled substance. The meth was being transported from Phoenix to Wichita, DPS said.
