AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Randall County agriculture producers spent Tuesday morning at a Texas AgriLife seminar called "Dealing with Decades of Drought".
Some 35 producers went out to learn about managing their production during periods of drought.
Speakers from AgriLife Extension spoke to the producers about different drought production management strategies.
JD Ragland, a Texas AgriLife Extension Agent, said producers should try and incorporate no-till farming into their operations.
"It's a method that our producers can incorporate that will help them readily hold what moister they may have," said Ragland. "Just because you see cracks in the surface-that's not necessarily a bad thing."
Private pesticide license holders also got to participate in three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units.
