Many kids enjoyed an early April Fool's Day at the Amarillo Zoo.
They went on an April Fool's joke scavenger hunt through the zoo Saturday.
"They can explore the zoo and try and figure out if we're telling the truth about certain animals," said Mike Boley, with the Amarillo Zoo. "So things they may have grown up thinking are true, they might actually find out it was just some story grandma and grandpa told them."
For example, can a cockroach live without its head?
You may be surprised to learn, it actually can for about a month.
The zoo's next event will be next Saturday for some Easter Egg-citement.
