AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help finding the suspect who robbed an Amarillo bank last Saturday.
Police said the Woodforest National Bank, located inside the Walmart off Grand Street, was robbed at about 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
A suspect entered the bank near closing time and waited until the last customer left, police said. He then, according to police, produced a note which implied he had a weapon and then demanded money. He was carrying something rolled up in a shirt that was believed to be a weapon, police said.
Bank employees handed money to the suspect. He then fled outside using the east doors of the Walmart.
He is described as a white male in his late 20s to 30s with a medium build. Police said he was wearing a yellow shirt, white cap and sunglasses.
He is pictured to the right, thanks to surveillance footage.
Information on this crime can be reported to Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
