Suspect sought in Clovis shooting

CLOVIS, N.M. -- Clovis Police are searching for the suspect who they say shot a 36-year-old man in the leg.

The suspect was identified as Daniel Duran, 51, of Clovis. According to police, a warrant was issued for him on the charge of Felony Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

Police said it was Friday morning just before 9:00 when Duran and another man became involved in a verbal altercation in the 900 block of North Hull Street. The man who was shot was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center where he was last listed in stable condition.
