SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A one-month old baby has been found dead at a San Antonio hotel. Police say there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body of Demetrio Deleon. The boy's parents discovered him dead yesterday while at the Hotel Indigo. They told police the baby had not been sick.
DALLAS (AP) - Dallas police say one man is dead and three of his relatives injured following a home invasion. Authorities say no arrests have been made in yesterday's shooting death of Lorenzo Moreno. His wife, their adult son and the couple's teenage granddaughter have all been treated and released from a hospital.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - A Central Texas veterinarian is looking to raise money for surgery for a cat that had its eyes gouged out. Dr. Agnes Rupley of College Station tells the Eagle of Bryan-College Station that the cat named Spirit needs surgery costing up to $2,000. Rupley is donating her services to treat the ten-pound cat.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas lawmakers will get an update on the current status of Medicaid. Experts today will brief at House Appropriation Subcommittee on the program that represents one of the largest portions of the state budget. Texas officials have predicted that lawmakers will need to come up with more than $10 billion to cover the current deficit and increases in the next budget.
