AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo man in the drive-thru line at Wendy's in the 2000 block of S. Ross told police he was stabbed three times while waiting in line.

According to a police report, 26-year-old Abel Delacruz Flores was suffering from stab wounds to his stomach, arm and thigh when they arrived at a home in the 2200 block of SE 21st Tuesday night.

Flores told officers he had been in the drive-thru lane when he was approached by a Hispanic male asking for spare change.

Flores told the man he didn't have any, but after he paid for his food he would have some to spare, police said.

The suspect stepped away, but Flores said when he drove up to place his order the suspect approached again and stabbed him in the forearm, police said.

Another suspect also approached the vehicle on the other side and tried to open the locked door.

Flores said he was stabbed two more times before he drove away into a neighborhood and ended up at the home on SE 21st.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects are both described as 5ft. 8in. and 140lbs. One was described as being bald and clean shaven, and the other was wearing a black, derby style hat.
