TIMPSON, Texas (AP) - An earthquake has rattled an area in East Texas near the Louisiana border. National Earthquake Information Center geophysicist Amy Vaughan says the magnitude 4.3 quake occurred earlier today near Timpson. Vaughan says the earthquake was felt within 75 miles of the epicenter.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) - San Antonio police say street racing led to the death of a driver whose truck fell more than 40 feet and crashed into a creek. Authorities are looking for the driver of a car involved in last night's wreck. Sergeant Mark Hubbard says the two vehicles apparently were racing when they collided and the truck driver lost control.
WACO, Texas (AP) - A coroner has ruled the death of a Baylor University student whose body was found in a burning car was a suicide. The body of 18-year-old William Patterson of San Antonio was discovered in February near Waco. Patterson was studying film and digital media at Baylor.
DALLAS (AP) - Southwest Airlines is pushing back delivery of 30 Boeing 737s to save money and get a better return on its investment. GEO Gary Kelly says the Dallas-based airline got its first 73-800 from Boeing in March. Kelly told shareholders yesterday the delivery of 30 more planes will be pushed back to 2017 and 2018.
