AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Those who travel on Hillside Road often may want to seek another route in the coming months as parts of the road are being redone.

The rehabilitation of Hillside Road project began earlier this week and is expected to take about 10 to 11 months to complete, city officials said.

Traffic is being reduced to two lane/two way between Bell and Western. City officials ask that motorists use extreme caution.

Delays are expected, officials said.

The project is being funded with Capital Improvement Funds and will extend from South Bell Street to Georgia.
