AMARILLO, TEXAS -- If you plan on traveling on the US 87 overpass at Loop 335 (St. Francis) in the coming days, you might want to find another route.
Starting Monday, June 18, that bridge will be closed for a bridge replacement project. The Texas Department of Transportation is asking that drivers be aware that north and southbound traffic will be detoured from US 87 to the frontage roads at Loop 335 and then directed back up to US 87.
Motorists should expect minor delays in the area throughout the construction period that TxDOT expects to last until late fall of this year.
