NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - A construction worker died yesterday after falling four stories from a building site at the University of Oklahoma. The man was working at Headington Hall, a new dormitory that's set to open in the fall of 2013. A building contractor working at the site says it appears the man didn't have his safety harness properly fastened.
PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) - Crews resumed their search this morning for a missing 32-year-old Ponca City man who disappeared after his boat capsized on Kaw Lake in northeast Oklahoma. A 19-year-old died after the boat hit a sandbar and capsized. A third man survived.
ALTUS, Okla. (AP) - A 15-year-old Texas boy was pronounced dead yesterday after he drowned while swimming in Lake Lugert. Authorities say the boy was in an area that wasn't designated for swimming and went underwater when he was about 10 feet from shore.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Corporation Commission voted yesterday to approve a new rebate program for Oklahomans who buy natural gas vehicles or install compressed natural gas fueling systems at their homes. The rebates are between $1,500 and $2,500 and will be paid for through a surcharge at compressed natural gas fueling facilities.
