Amarillo man jailed after major drug bust

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- More than $5,500 in narcotics were uncovered, helping to put one man behind bars, police said.

On Friday afternoon, police said a narcotics search warrant was done at a home in the 1700 block of North Adams.

Inside the home 43 grams of cocaine, seven grams of hashish and 14 grams of marijuana was uncovered, police said. The street value of the drugs, according to police, was estimated at being $5,800.

Additionally, police said a semi-automatic pistol that was stolen in an automotive burglary a week ago was recovered.

Armando Rauel Flores, 25, of Amarillo, was booked into the Potter County Correctional Center on the charges of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, over 4 grams but less than 200 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
