MOORE COUNTY, TEXAS -- A 31-year-old man was charged with injury to a 2-year-old child after the child sustained trauma to the brain, police said.
According to police, 31-year-old Derek Dewayne Henderson was charged with Injury to a Child. Police said a 2-year-old boy was brought into a local hospital for treatment on July 3.
The boy died and medical personnel then alerted police that the boy appeared to have some sort of injury.
An autopsy was conducted and revealed the boy died of trauma to the brain.
Henderson, according to authorities, was released on a $50,000 bond.
