Two people, including an Amarillo plastic surgeon, are now in custody in connection with the murder of a Lubbock doctor.
Dr. Thomas Michael Dixon, 48 and David Neal Shepard, 51, were arrested on the charges and booked in to the Randall County Jail.
Chief Pathologist at Covenant Hospitals, Dr. Joseph Sonnier, was found dead inside his home last Wednesday. Police then launched the investigation into his death.
According to the Randall County Sheriff's Office, one of the subjects was arrested at an Amarillo apartment complex by Amarillo Police. The other subject was arrested at a residence in Timbercreek Canyon by Randall County deputies.
Dixon is a plastic surgeon based out of Amarillo. He, according to sources, graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 1998.
A press conference has been scheduled for 2 p.m., by Lubbock Police.
