AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police officers and APD's dive team were called out early Sunday morning to a possible drowning at a playa lake.

They were called to an area near 58th and Georgia around 12:15 a.m. Police say 46-year old Santos Rodriguez was swimming across, started to struggle, and disappeared under water.

APD's dive team was able to locate his body a short time later.

Police say they're not sure what Rodriguez was doing down at the playa lake, or if alcohol played a factor.
