AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Five people were arrested on Friday afternoon after police said an undercover sting helped them to recover marijuana and a stolen gun.
Police said four people were arrested after delivering three pounds of marijuana to an undercover narcotic officer in an apartment complex located in the 4600 block of South Virginia.
Three of the suspects were arrested from a vehicle used to deliver the drugs and another was in the parking lot, police said. A stolen semi-automatic handgun was also recovered inside the vehicle, police said. The gun was reported stolen in an auto burglary earlier in the month, police said.
A search warrant, according to police, executed in an apartment that belonged to one of the people arrested yielded an additional half pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A 13-year-old boy was inside the apartment and Child Protective Services was called.
Jamila LaSha Shaw, 25, Noel Montes, 23, Darrell Dean Harris, 25, Kasandra Lauren Ballard, 25 and Clarence Landrum Miller, 21, were all arrested on drug charges among others.
