DALLAS (AP) - An Irving man has been sentenced to death for killing his girlfriend and her 18-year-old daughter during a jealous rage. Jurors yesterday decided on the death penalty for 39-year-old Tyrone Cade. Authorities say Cade confessed to killing 37-year-old Mischell Fuller and Desaree Hoskins.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A former Texas trooper faces up to 30 years in prison for stalking his ex-wife. The penalty phase resumes today in the trial of Kevin Safford. He allegedly created a fake online profile of his ex-wife. Lawana Siney testified that men started showing up at her home shortly after the divorce in 2009.
FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - The Army psychiatrist charged in the Fort Hood shooting rampage is due in court for the first time since an appeal court lifted its stay of the case. Major Nidal Hasan has a hearing scheduled today at the Texas military post. His court-martial was delayed after a dispute over his beard, which violates Army regulations.
EUNICE, La. (AP) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Plains Gas Solutions in Eunice, La., following a February explosion that severely burned one worker. OSHA yesterday issue one willful and seven serious violations against the company. Plains Gas Solutions is a subsidiary of Houston-based Plains All American Pipeline.
