LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - An Amarillo plastic surgeon and a man he's accused of hiring to kill another doctor have been indicted on capital murder charges.

Dr. Thomas Michael Dixon and business associate David Neal Shepard were indicted Thursday on two capital murder counts each in the death of Dr. Joseph Sonnier (SAHN'-yay) III, who was dating Dixon's ex-girlfriend.

An arrest warrant affidavit suggested a love triangle between Dixon, Sonnier and the woman, whom police didn't identify.

The affidavit alleges Dixon offered Shepard three bars of silver to kill Sonnier, chief pathologist for Covenant Health System in Lubbock. The affidavit says each bar had an estimated value of $3,000.

Sonnier was found shot and stabbed to death July 11 inside his Lubbock home, about 120 miles south of Amarillo. He was 57.
