TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Republican candidate running for Oklahoma's 1st Congressional District says he won't release copies of back tax returns, or his military and academic records. A spokesman for Jim Bridenstine says the candidate has an exemplary record and has already filed the required statements of financial interest with the U.S. House Committee on Ethics. Democrat John Olson released his tax, military and academic records about a week and a half ago.

EL RENO, Okla. (AP) - The last remaining pretrial motions are set to be reviewed in the case of an Oklahoma man accused of the strangulation deaths of a woman and her four children. Today's hearing for 29-year-old Joshua Durcho is the last one scheduled before jury selection begins Sept. 17 for his first-degree murder trial. Durcho is charged in the January 2009 deaths of 25-year-old Summer Rust and her children.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma has seen the highest number of West Nile virus cases ever recorded in a single year in the state. That's according to health officials. The Oklahoma State Department of Health says 118 cases have been recorded so far this year - the highest ever. The agency also says two more people have died from the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to seven for 2012.

MCALESTER, Okla. (AP) - A man sentenced to die for the shotgun slayings of three female relatives at a home in Norman in 2007 has been found dead inside his cell at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. That's according to a state prison official. Prisons spokesman Jerry Massie says 55-year-old William Eugene Davis was discovered dead inside a cell yesterday morning. Davis had a cell mate, but Massie says there were no signs of foul play. He says the state medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
