MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) - Officials say three football players at Bacone College became sick yesterday while running in the triple-digit heat. One student had to go to the hospital and school officials say they're now reviewing their policy on hot weather workouts.
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Students are heading to classes in a vacant elementary school today after a fire destroyed the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences yesterday. Workers had to scramble to get Sequoyah Elementary ready for today's classes. Eight firefighters were burned after a series of explosions at the school.
COLLINSVILLE, Okla. (AP) - A ceremony will be held this morning in Collinsville to name a section of U.S. Highway 169 after an Oklahoma Army National Guardsman who died last year in Afghanistan. Specialist Christopher Horton was a 26-year-old sniper when he was killed last September. He was a member of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma County judge is schedule to unseal a series of indictments today that were returned last month by the state's multicounty grand jury. Authorities haven't disclosed the nature of the cases.
