PORTALES, N.M. -- Beginning September 28 at 6 p.m., Eastern New Mexico University will offer scuba diving lessons in the Science Building on campus.
The first day of lessons will be in classroom 108 that will involve a lecture and paper work. The remainder of the weekend includes time that will be split between training at the pool and in the classroom.
Open water training for the class will be in Santa Rosa, N.M., on October 13-14.
With the completion of the class each participant will receive a lifetime certification through PADI, the largest certifying agency in the world.
The cost of the class is $425 and spots can be reserved by calling ENMU's Distance Education Office at (575) 562-2165.
