CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - A Clovis woman has been found guilty of charges related to a deadly crash that killed one man and sent four other people to the hospital.
Prosecutors say 26-year-old Guadalupe Flores was convicted late Thursday of one count of second-degree murder and five counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Jurors deliberated for about five hours.
Sentencing hasn't been scheduled. Flores faces 30 years in prison.
In February 2011, Flores used her car to run her boyfriend's SUV off the road following an argument. Flores had rear ended the SUV multiple times and the final collision caused the vehicle to flip.
A crash reconstruction expert from the Clovis Police Department estimated the final impact at about 82 mph.
Passenger Brandon Vann was killed, while Flores' boyfriend and three others were injured.
