AMARILLO, TEXAS -- No arrests have been made in the early morning shooting that happened because of a child custody argument, police said.

Police responded to a home in the 3500 block of South Taylor Street just after midnight to find a man had been shot.

A man and woman had been in an argument over child custody when a fight broke out inside the home, police said. The woman then shot the man, police said.

He suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound in his forearm. He was transported to a local hospital.

Police were able to locate and remove two medium-sized caliber handguns from the home.

The man and woman involved in the fight were not identified. No arrests have been made and police said the investigation is continuing.
