WT Police investigate sexual assault at residence hall

CANYON, TEXAS -- West Texas A&M University's Police Department is investigating an alleged sexual assault from early Friday morning on campus.

Police said an adult female student was allegedly sexually assaulted in Guenther Hall, a residence hall, between 9 p.m., on Thursday and 1 a.m., on Friday.

The suspect was an adult male student who knew the victim, police said.

Guenther Hall is an all-male dorm.

The case remains under investigation and police said it will be forwarded to the Randall County District Attorney.
