AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo Police are searching for a suspect who fled on foot.

Amarillo Police officers say they were serving a search warrant for a possible probation violation to an individual at a house located near Cole and Bellaire around 8:00 p.m. Officers were able to arrest one suspect, however, a second person jumped out of a back window and fled on foot. Police believe that person was also in violation of the law and started searching for the suspect.

The Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter is assisting Amarillo Police in the search. Streets in and around the area are closed.

Amarillo Police are advising residents in the area to stay inside and lock their doors.
